Jared graduated in 2002 from Preble Shawnee High School
in Camden, Ohio. He played 3 years of baseball for the
Preble Shawnee Arrows. While at Shawnee, Jared was
primarily a third baseman but also played outfield and
pitched from time to time. After graduating, Jared took
the next three seasons off before joining the Dayton
Rangers of the MVABL in 2006. Having a leaner build in
the MVABL than he did in high school, Jared took up more
of a utility role with the Rangers. In his rookie year,
he finished second on the team in stolen bases and runs
scored with 12 and 23 respectively. The following year,
Jared was named to one of the 2007 MVABL all-star teams
and was with the Rangers in 2009 when they won the league
championship. In 2010, he decided to move on from the
Rangers and join former high school and Rangers teammates
Jake Robinson and Brandon Howard on the Camden Redlegs.
