The Redlegs would then bounce back in a major way in the nightcap. The Redlegs would answer their earlier loss with an 18 hit 26 run attack that would lead to a 26-7 victory.

Matt Redman made his first start of the season and cruised along to his 2nd MVABL victory and 1st this season. Redman went 4 innings allowing 6 hits, 3 earned runs and 6 strikeouts.

The Redlegs got started early, scoring 10 times in the top of the 1st inning. Jack Millard led the game off with a walk, followed by another walk to Kevin Campbell. Jacob Robinson then hit a run scoring double before Howard brought 2 more in with a triple. Taylor Patterson then tripled to bring in another run and was driven in when Benthal singled directly afterward. Bobby Dempsey and Brandon Longacre then were both hit by pitches to load the bases before Jared Bradley brought another run in with a single. This set the stage for Jack Millard, in his 2nd at bat of the inning, to blast a grand slam.

In the 2nd inning the Redlegs piled 6 more runs on. Mattice and Patterson were both hit by pitches before Benthal doubled in a run. Dempsey then worked a walk to load the bases, which allowed Longacre to drive 2 more runs in with a single. Jack Millard drove his 5th run of the game in with a single to end the scoring in the frame.

The Redlegs got 2 more in the 3rd. Taylor Patterson got things started with a single, then Benthal singled before Bradley brought them both in with a single of his own. The Redlegs then got 2 more in the 4th inning when Campbell singled and was brought in when Howard ripped his 3rd homerun of the day. The Redlegs ended the scoring in the 5th when they pushed 6 more runs across. Dempsey worked a walk to lead off the inning, Longacre was hit by a pitch and Bradley singled to load the bases. Campbell and Robinson then each walked a run in before Howard blasted his 4th homerun of the game, this time for a grand slam.

Note – Campbell and Robinson were each not given an RBI in the box score, but the overall stats have been accurately changed.
