The Redlegs would fair no better in the nightcap, and would eventually fall
victim to another run rule.
The Redlegs were again only able to put 2 runs on the board, this time they
scored in the 5th inning to prevent being run ruled after 5. Robinson
doubled with 2 outs and was driven in on a double by Howard, who was then
doubled in by Brad Clark. But the A’s scored 3 more in the top half of the
6th and the Redlegs went quietly in the bottom half to end the game 18-2.
