After two consecutive losses to the Beavercreek Sox, the Redlegs looked to get things back on track against the Brick City Braves last Thursday night.

The Redlegs got on the board first when Brandon Howard doubled to lead off the 2nd inning and eventually was driven in by John Long in his first at bat of the season. The Redlegs then poured 4 more runs on in the top of the 4th to make it 5-0. Howard again reached base to start the inning. Matt Mattice later walked, followed by a run scoring single from John Long. Matt Morrison and Jared Bradley then each singled for an RBI each.

But the Braves came storming back in the bottom of the 4th, scoring 6 times in the frame to take a 6-5 lead. Kyle Arend then started off the top of the 5th with a single and stole 2nd. Jacob Robinson then singled Arend in to tie up the game. The Redlegs would then take the lead for good in the top of the 6th. Matt Morrison added 2 more RBI by driving in James Robinson and Matt Mattice. Robinson had walked to begin the inning followed by a single from Mattice. The Redlegs added 1 more insurance run in the 7th. With 2 outs Jackson Millard was hit by a pitch and immediately scored when Kyle Arend laced a triple into the right center gap.

Jackson Millard started on the mound for the Redlegs and struck out 6 Braves hitters through 3 innings. Kevin Campbell came on in relief and got the win, tossing the last 4 innings, striking out 4 and allowing only 2 earned runs.
