Redlegs Sweep Braves, Improve to 15-9

08/07/2013

The Redlegs had no shortage of offense in the nightcap, as they pounded out 17 runs en route to a 17-6 victory. Matt Redman got the start and went the distance; he struck out 8 batters and allowed only 4 earned runs.

While the offense dominated, this game started off with another great diving play in the outfield. This time it was Jared Bradley who made a nice diving snag. Jared raced in toward the infield and was able to pick the ball out of the air just before it fell in for a hit.

The Redlegs scored in every inning except for the 6th and every Redlegs batter reached base at least once in the game. Most of the runs were scored in the 2nd. Matt Mattice, Kevin Campbell, and Kyle Arend had RBI singles and Jacob Robinson had a 2RBI triple to highlight the frame. Jackson Millard drove 2 in with a double in a 4 run 4th.
