Camden Redlegs Join MVABL

The Camden Redlegs have announced that they will be an expansion team in the MVABL for the 2010 season. Former Dayton Ranger Jake Robinson has agreed to coach the Redlegs and has already signed on former high school and Ranger teammates Brandon Howard and Jared Bradley. The Redlegs have also reached an agreement with former Rangers third baseman Brad Clark. Clark was the 2006 Rangers Rookie of the Year and won a gold glove in 2007.

The Redlegs have also recruited two other Preble Shawnee products in Kevin Schaeffer and Andrew Alcorn. Kevin, Jake’s former coach at Shawnee, will add much needed depth as a utility player and pitcher for the Redlegs. Andrew will also help to bolster the pitching staff as well as first base.

Although it is nearing completion, the Redlegs roster is currently not finalized. If the team cannot come to an agreement with the free agents they have targeted they will look to the draft in March to round out the roster.
