Congratulations to Brandon Howard and Jackson Millard on
being selected to the 2014 MVABL All-Star team!
Howard, the team’s perennial clean-up hitter, makes his
second consecutive All-Star appearance. In
addition to being the primary “thump” in the Redlegs lineup,
Howard also plays an excellent second base. In 21 games
this year he has only 3 errors and boasts an impressive .971
fielding percentage. Brandon was named the automatic
starter for the Redlegs meaning he will be guaranteed a spot
in the Buckeye Division’s lineup come August 9th at Wright
State University.
Jackson Millard will also be making his first career
appearance in the Midsummer Classic. Jackson joined the
Redlegs in 2012 and his offensive numbers have been going up
ever since. Thus far in 2014, Millard is batting a team
high .439 and is currently leading the club in homeruns,
runs batted in, on base percentage, and slugging percentage.
Primarily a catcher, Jackson has also pitched in around the
infield in multiple positions including short stop, second
base, and third base.
