Game two simply did not go the Redlegs way. In short, 7
errors helped result in the Rangers score a whopping 26
runs, 17 of which came in the final two innings.
Michael Cookson tossed the first 5 innings of the game was
saddled with an undeserved loss as a result. Cookson
yielded 9 runs, but only 2 were earned on 5 hits and he
struck out 8 Rangers hitters.
Jacob Robinson went a perfect 4 for 4 in the nightcap,
adding a double and an RBI. Kyle Arend and Matt Morrison
each added two hits, and James Robinson blasted his 1st
career home run from the left side of the plate. James
drove in 3 of the Redlegs 7 runs.
The Redlegs will attempt to shrug off the 2nd game defeat
and try to start up another win streak this Saturday. The
Wright Knights (2-6) will stand in their way as the two
clubs face off at 1:00pm at Carlisle High School.
