The Dayton Rangers defeated the Camden Redlegs Sunday by a final score of 12-3. While the Redlegs had only 3 less hits then the Rangers, the Rangers made their hits count while the Redlegs left 10 men on base throughout the game.

The Rangers took the lead in the top of the 2nd inning and didn’t look back from there, scoring 6 in the frame highlighted by a 2 run triple from Ben Schooler. The Redlegs scored twice in the 3rd inning on a 2 run double from newcomer Zach Clendenen to pull within 4 early in the game. But the Rangers put the nail in the coffin in the 6th; scoring 5 more runs on a 3 run triple from Player of the Week Clint Wolf. In the 7th inning Jacob Robinson took the mound for the first time since the playoffs in 2008. Robinson quickly got back into the swing of things, throwing the last three innings, striking out 5 and giving up only 1 hit against his former team. The Redlegs look to rebound this Sunday against the Warren County Shockers in a double header at Athletes in Action in Xenia. The first game begins at 10:00am.
