The Redlegs took on the Beavercreek Sox on Tuesday night and
lost in a high scoring game by a final tally of 15 to 11.
Both teams started strong scoring in the 1st, the Sox pushed
three across with help from a 2 RBI double from Nate Bowles
while the Redlegs got a run on an RBI single by John Long.
After neither team scored in the 2nd, the Sox pushed three
more runs across in the 3rd to push their lead to 6-1. But
the Redlegs answered again scoring three of their own in the
3rd with RBI's from Long and Howard. Both teams pushed two
more runs across in the 4th inning. But the Sox then added
5 more runs in the 5th to push their advantage to 13-6.
However, the Redlegs wouldn't go away as they scored three
times in the bottom half; Taylor Guntle added an RBI single
while John Long came through with a 2RBI double. The Sox
then added 2 more insurance runs in the top of the 6th to
end their scoring on the night and take a 15-9 lead. With
one last shot the Redlegs were able to muster 2 more runs,
highlighted by an RBI double from Jacob Robinson, but it
wasn't enough to close the 6 run gap. The Sox have taken
the first two games of their 4 scheduled games this season.
