Schooler Delivers Walk-Off, Redlegs Win 8-7

The next game came just 4 days later, again against the Mariners, and again would end in walk off fashion. This time the Redlegs would celebrate, winning 8-7 on a walk-off single by Ben Schooler. Schooler added three more hits, three more RBI, and a double, adding to his impressive sophomore season with the Redlegs as he now stands with a team high 12 doubles, 40 hits, and 23 RBI. Schooler is hitting .611 over the last 5 games, piling up 11 hits, 10 RBI, and 4 doubles to bring his season average up to an eye popping .513. He’s currently riding a team leading 12 game hit streak. Matt Mattice and Mike Hartman each doubled in the win, Hartman driving in two while Mattice batted in one. Hartman had three hits, while Evan Koogler, Mattice, and Markus Neff added two hits each. Tyler Eaton picked up the victory in relief. Kevin Campbell became only the 3rd player in MVABL history to surpass 600 career innings pitched, tossing an inning of relief in the victory.
