The Redlegs were hoping to get a little revenge on the Ohio Mariners after taking a 9-2 loss just over a week before last Thursday night’s rematch. But the Mariners had other ideas, piling up 20 runs and run ruling the Redlegs after 5 innings in a 20-4 blowout. The Mariners continued to hit the ball throughout the day and the Redleg defense couldn’t keep up; the team committed 9 errors which gave the M’s 15 unearned runs. Meanwhile, Jordan Pergram shut Camden down just as he did on their July 24th matchup. Jordan allowed only 5 hits through 5 innings as the Redlegs could only scrape together 4 runs. Caleb Rodriguez continued his great start for the Redlegs, picking up his 2nd triple since joining the team. Caleb is hitting .500 since becoming a Redleg as he has gone 8-16 with 2 triples, 1 double, and 4 RBI.
