Camden got back on track Sunday winning 11-1 over the Miami Valley Bats. In game 1 of the double header, Brad Clark took the mound and turned in a fantastic outing. Brad went all 7 innings, allowed only 5 hits and 1 run and struck out 3. Brad was one out shy of a shutout, but gave up a solo homerun in the top of the 7th inning to former home run derby champ Josh Jaynes.

The Redlegs wasted no time taking the lead when Jacob Robinson smacked his 3rd home run of the season to lead things off in the bottom of the 1st. They added another run in the 2nd when John Long hit a sacrifice fly to score Steve Benthal who had previously singled to lead off the inning. Steve accounted for 5 runs on the day, scoring 3 times and driving in 2 more. In the 3rd, Clark, Howard, and Rodriguez led off the inning with consecutive walks to load the bases. Benthal then drove 2 in with a double, followed by an RBI single from McCurdy. John Long then singled in a run to give the Redlegs a 6-0 advantage. Long singled in another run in the 5th inning after Rodriguez led off with a single. The Redlegs then tacked 4 more on in the 6th. Greg Lebouef walked and eventually scored when Caleb Rodriguez drove him in with a single. After a walk to Steve Benthal, Justin McCurdy cleared the bases to push the lead to 11-1, McCurdy had 4 RBI on the day.

In game 2, the Redlegs got up big early pounding out 15 runs in the first 3 innings. But then rain began to fall and soon the field was unplayable so the game had to be cancelled.

The Redlegs will play host to the Miami Valley Thunder next Sunday at Preble Shawnee for a double dip at 1:00 and 4:00.
