The Redlegs got the bats out for game 1 of the double header at Preble Shawnee against the Thunder. Most of the damage was done early as the Redlegs put up 12 runs in the first 3 innings. Steve Benthal and Justin McCurdy led the way with three hits each. Benthal also drove in 3 runs. Greg Lebouef added two hits as well and Brandon Howard scored 3 times in the contest. Brandon Longacre went the distance on the mound scattering 6 hits over 7 innings allowing only a run while striking out 5 in the 14-1 Redlegs victory.
